Return Policy

At Trails End Cabins, we craft tiny cabins, sheds, and off-grid accessories to fuel your sustainable retreats in Montana. Our Return Policy outlines the terms for refunds or returns, keeping things fair and clear for our customers. By purchasing from TrailsEndCabins.shop, you agree to these terms. Read on to know the rules of the trail.

1. General Return Conditions

We stand by our Montana cabins and off-grid living products, but returns or refunds are subject to specific conditions. Eligible returns must be initiated within 14 days of delivery for standard products or pickup for tiny cabins under 100 square feet. All items must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging. Custom orders, on-site builds (100 square feet and up), and rentals are non-returnable unless defective. Contact us at trailboss@trailsendcabins.shop to start a return.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds are processed under these conditions:

  • Defective Products: If your sustainable accessory (e.g., solar kit, composting toilet) or cabin arrives damaged or defective, notify us within 7 days of delivery. We’ll provide a full refund or replacement, including shipping costs, upon return and inspection.

  • Standard Products: Non-custom, non-defective items (e.g., drop-shipped accessories) are eligible for a full refund, minus shipping and handling fees, if returned within 14 days in original condition.

  • Non-Returnable Items: Custom cabins, on-site builds, and rental bookings are non-refundable, except for defects covered by our Warranty Policy. Deposits for custom orders are non-refundable.

Refunds exclude costs for delivery, installation, or portable cabin permits, which are your responsibility per local DEQ Circular DEQ 4 and county regulations (e.g., Carbon County Planning).

3. Return Process

To request a return:

  • Email trailboss@trailsendcabins.shop within the eligible timeframe, providing your order number and reason for return.

  • We’ll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions.

  • Ship the item back to the address provided, using a trackable carrier, within 7 days of receiving the RMA. You cover return shipping unless the item is defective.

  • Upon receipt and inspection, we’ll process your refund within 10 business days to your original payment method.

4. Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your Montana cabin or accessory arrives damaged or incorrect, notify us within 7 days. Provide photos and details to trailboss@trailsendcabins.shop. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund, covering all costs. Do not dispose of the item until we approve the return.

5. Cancellations

Orders for standard products can be canceled before shipment for a full refund. Contact us at trailboss@trailsendcabins.shop within 24 hours of placing the order. Custom orders or on-site builds cannot be canceled once production begins, and deposits are non-refundable. Rental cancellations follow our Booking Policy.

6. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring your tiny cabin or shed complies with local county permits, zoning, and wastewater regulations. Trails End Cabins does not cover costs or delays related to non-compliance. Verify requirements with your county (e.g., Carbon County) and review DEQ Circular DEQ 4 for wastewater standards.

7. Limitations of Liability

Trails End Cabins is not liable for indirect damages, such as lost profits or permit issues, beyond the purchase price. Our liability is limited to the refund or replacement terms outlined here and in our Warranty Policy. Consult a local attorney for advice on Montana consumer protection laws.
